Jonny McGailey
Jonny is currently on an internship with Louth GAA as a strength and conditioning coach. He is heavily involved with his local GAA team, coaching underage levels and has also coached kids in soccer. Jonny describes himself as a natural performer. He has played acoustic guitar for many years, performing individually and in bands, and was a member of a Westlife tribute band called No-Life. He won his local GAA club’s Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser, which led to hosting a Man-O-Man competition, and a mock Rose of Tralee charity event. Through his interest in sport, Jonny writes a weekly column in the Dundalk Democrat on fitness and health. His unfulfilled dream is to see Blackburn Rovers back in the Premiership and Louth to win a Leinster Championship. Jonny’s favourite book/film is the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
