Catherine McCarron Donegal
I am someone who has an eclectic interest in life. Educated at St Eunan’s NS and Deele College in Raphoe, I graduated from University of Ulster with honours in Human Resource Management. I am 26-years-old and currently work in the Human Resource department for Penneys HQ in Dublin where I am primarily responsible for the Learning and Development function for Management.
My mother claims that I was “born under a wandering star” I embarked on my first trip alone at the age of 16 when I represented Ireland as Entrepreneur of the year at the worldwide Canjac conference in Canada. To date I travelled around the USA, South East Asia and Australia - South America is on my radar next!
I dedicate every Tuesday evening to volunteering with St Vincent De Paul. I have a huge passion for philanthropic endeavours and I plan to extend my involvement in this area. I have a varied taste in music loving everything from Motown to traditional music. In the past I have starred in numerous musicals, however I have taken to the audience in recent years except when I am joining in with the local trad session at home.
I am a proud Donegal GAA fan and I have a love for food glorious food, whether it’s sampling something different or cooking some delights myself.
