There’s more to the Rose of Tralee than being a Rose or a Rose Escort because young girls from all over Ireland will each be paired with an International Rose during the festival in Tralee the August.
Thirty-two young girls have been selected as Rose Buds during for the Rose of Tralee International Festival which will take place this August.
Aged between 6 and 10, they were chosen from hundreds of applications from children in Ireland and abroad.
Congratulations to every girl who participated in the selection process. The 32 Rose Buds this year are:

The most important thing about being a Rose Bud is to have fun! Each girl will be twinned with a Rose, take part in the Festival activities with the Roses and much more during the week-long Festival. €5 from every entry will be donated to Barretstown Children’s Charity which offers free, medically endorsed camps and programmes that are designed for children & their families living with serious illness.
