There’s more to the Rose of Tralee than being a Rose or a Rose Escort because young girls from all over Ireland will each be paired with an International Rose during the festival in Tralee this August 16th-20th, 2024.
Thirty-two young girls have been selected as Rose Buds for the Rose of Tralee International Festival which will take place this August. Aged between 6 and 10, the Rose Buds were chosen from hundreds of applications from children who applied this year.

Each girl will be twinned with a Rose, take part in the Festival activities with the Roses and much more during the week-long Festival. €5 from every entry will be donated to Barretstown Children’s Charity which offers free, medically endorsed camps and programmes that are designed for children and their families living with serious illness.
